BRUCE BROMLEY
CSI, LEEDS
Bruce Bromley is chief inspector and managing partner at Bromley Cook Engineering, Inc. Working together with the team of design professionals at the firm, Mr. Bromley focuses on projects involving commercial and residential concrete restoration, reinforced masonry and tilt-wall design, and structural analysis including hurricane resistance for coastal highrises. Mr. Bromley has over 25 years of experience in inspecting new and existing structures. As an inspector, Mr. Bromley is certified by numerous professional association and boards including the Southern Building Code Congress International (SBCCI), National Council of Structural Engineers Association (NCSEA), International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI), and Reinforced Masonry Inspector (ACI), among others. In addition, Mr. Bromley is a certified LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) inspector trained to specify sustainable and efficient structures.
Inspecting construction sites is nothing new to Mr. Bromley who grew up the son of a structural engineer, Arthur Bromley, who originally founded the Fort Lauderdale firm in the 1960s. Recognizing the corrosive effects saltwater exposure has on concrete, Mr. Bromley currently works on dozens of highrise condominiums up and down Florida’s east coast. He is trained in water infiltration testing, pachometer testing, and other practiced techniques designed to identify and remedy the effects of Florida’s climate on existing structures. Such recent work includes the specifications for the complete renovation and waterproofing of the Apogee pool deck located on South Beach off Government Cut of the Port of Miami and the concrete restoration project of the Points of America Tower II on the point of Port Everglades.
Bruce is an avid scuba diver and enjoys all things boating and fishing. Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Bruce has deep roots in the community which he, and his wife, Christine, are happy to call home. They have three adult children and two grandchildren.
